photo catch up

One of the perks of being married to a (hot) doctor: Fernando busted up his food at indoor soccer that day and his wonderful wife wrapped it for him. With a smile, of course:)

Went to dinner at an author's house in SF and took some pics off his deck at sun set. It was a little cloudy that day, but on a clear day you can see the bay and the city perfectly.

I got to see Steve and Jen (I hadn't seen them since their engagement, missed the wedding AND the post wedding Philly reception). After a great brunch, we went to see their place. (I am trying him his bullet proof vest here) You can't really tell in this picture, but Jen has an insane design sense and I kind of want to fly her in to do our place... They had this great painting in their bedroom that I instantly coveted. When I found out they got it in Union Square, that's where Divya and I headed after we left. And we each bought one.

Speaking of Union Square... While we were looking at art, behind us, on the grassy area, the "pillow fight for peace" was taking place. We had no idea until we started inhaling feathers. Feathers were EVERYWHERE. When I changed trains at the station four hours later, feathers were still floating around and piling onto the tracks. Now we just need a pillow fight to fight littering...

clench-worthy

So yesterday I had a great massage. I was in a lot of pain from the traveling and walking around all day in heels, and she really worked some knots out. The massage itself was insanely painful, as my neck and hip muscles were very tight. (It is a bad sign when the massage therapist keeps muttering "poor thing"...)

The massage was perfect. the massage experience, however, was marred by one thing: for some reason, I was incredibly gassy. If you ever had to hold it in in a meeting, elevator, whatever, you know when i am talking about. Now imagine doing that while someone is massaging your bare ASS.

some things about me:

so i have been doing some traveling - central texas and the bay area for work, and some stress - home buying is a bitch. here is what i learned:

 - i can kick ass on a sales call, but overconfidence can be one's downfall. i need to remember to stay contrite.
 - i can navigate texas like a pro! i didn't get lost once, didn't wreck a company car and made all my appointments on time. all the people who think i am a bad driver (which is pretty much everyone) can suck it. and i mean that in the nicest way possible.
 - i am in love with the san francisco area. after driving around all week, brunch in palo alto, lunch in san jose, driving across bays and dinners with skyline sunsets, i fell in love. when can i move exactly?
 - i finally broke my "no one is good enough for my friends" rule. i have never seen heather so happy. i am loving STM.
 - i don't like spending weeks away from the boy. hotel rooms may sound fun, but they also can suck it.
 - i am dreading firing our realtor, who is also a family friend and the mother of someone i have known since i was 8. i will never hire friends again.
 - i can loose weight really quickly if i just eat right. i think i lost 3 just this past week on salads, fish and lots of water. i have new motivation from my through the roof cholesterol... no more eggs and butter for me. bah.
 - i watch WAY too much tv.

i miss cooking, but need to cut back on the cheese dishes, pastries, fresh pasta, etc, which will be hard, but doable. just like i made the switch to more complicated dishes after the wedding, i need to go back to the way i was cooking - steamed fish, sautéed veggies and brown rice.  booo.

not quiet magi...but still nice

so josh and i have been stressed and discouraged with the house hunting and overall blah.

so i thought it would be nice to pick up all three bourne movies since we both really like that movie style and matt wears the tightest little shirts....

so i come home all excited with my presents and josh proudly shows the what HE got us to cure the blues.
