a first feast!

So sausage lentil soup weeks and weeks ago was very good. A definite repeat recipe.

Then, a night of comfort food - jacket potatoes with all the trimmings. - turkey pepperoni, sautéed onions, steamed broccoli, cheese and sour cream. This has been staple in our house since the recent addition of the microwave. We have, however, cut back on the toppings since this picture. It was a little much....

And last but not least - my FIRST time trying to make Indian food! The flavor was ok, but I cut the potatoes too big, so they were a wee bit undercooked. The batch tonight came out much better, but probably because Josh was in charge. It really is quite easy and this potato and peas dish as become our new comfort food.

Your Indian food looks GREAT!

I am pro microwaves for reheating food (looove them for that) but was also so anti-cooking-food-in-them... until I started doing potatoes in them too. Because I was always starving by the time I finished running errands, going to the gym, getting home from work late, etc. that I never could stand waiting to bake them in an oven when I knew I could just microwave them instead, so much faster. hehe.

Don't forget your microwave will be handy dandy for popcorn ;)
