work it! is it worth it?
yes it was work and yes it was worth it. my mother came over yesterday and saw the place completely unpacked and clean and scolded me for pushing myself and josh too hard. what should have taken about two weeks we did in two days.
before i start, i would like to rant quickly about crate and barrel packing procedure. it was ridiculous. we would open one box, only to find another box surrounded by bubble wrap. then we would open that box, and encassed in packin peanuts would be another bundle of paper. we would unravel several yards of it (i kid not) and there would be.... ONE SERVING SPOON or ONE little ittly bitt plate. i have never seen such a waste of paper and resources in my life. we filled about 15 garbage bags full of packing peanuts and that paper. and the paper was not regular paper. oh no. it was cut up to disguise the razor wire underneath. we bled. i am NOT complaining about the presents (BECCA), but the fact that opening those stupid boxes drained us of our will to live.
ok i am done complaining. it was hard and maybe i pushed us to finish but now it is done and we just have to worry about getting rid of the leftovers.
so we are all unpacked. we have our new tv (SO sexy), our kitchen is all set up, the bedroom looks great, we have internet. life is good. tomorrow we go couch shopping and get rugs and i think we will be done!
it is nice to have a place to call home.
now i must go. the task for today is learn to use the espresso maker.

haha, no i TOTALLY feel you on the waste of resources. there are few things i hate more in this world than packing peanuts, and i mean that with all my heart.
did you use the WHOOOOOLE check to buy the TV? ;o)
haha, yes, the WOLE check was used for the TV. we will send out pics of it soon:)
oh man, the tv is sexy. i want to make out with it, but i think deepa would get jealous.
