i know many of us followed ally mcbeal in high school. quirkey, funny - yes. but was it realisitc? i don't know.
so, let me know what you all think. grey's fans or not, we still need to acknowledge the fact that the show about a female president won an emmy and was canceled all in the same season while alpha male jack bauer comes back season after season...

What I Think: This is one more example of the America being more and more right wing. Those with "traditional values" are being pandered to, and strong women are not a traditional value. Anti-Intellectualism is becoming trendy. I am very very scared for our country and I miss Bill Clinton like a piece of my heart has been ripped out. I've been reading Air America The Playbook: What a Bunch of Left-Wing Media Types Think About a World Gone Right. You should check it out!
ooh - i will! i saw on linked in that you took the insurance job - have you started yet?
i miss bill too....
Yeah, I started on Thursday. It's fine, something to do. I can't wait til next year when I actually get to work in my field though!
girls, i completely agree with the article. i still have hope for the future, as i am surrounded daily with strong women who are out to change the world, but at the same time i realize we are few and far between.
deeps - sol gittleman gave a speech a couple of years ago in Dallas where he said the US has always been anti-intellectual. what other country would elect a peanut farmer or the owner of the Texas Rangers president?
